F.A.Qs
This is the place to find the answers to your questions.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
Illinois state law requires that anyone getting a tattoo must be at least 18 years old. Even if you have parental consent or are emancipated.
How do I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment with me by either walking in to the studio in person or filling out my contact form. Easy breezy!
How much will my tattoo cost?
The pricing of your tattoo can vary depending on different factors. Size, time involved, complexity, etc. I offer different options from hourly to full day rates. Let me know your budget and I will try my best to work with you!
How do I pay for my tattoo?
I accept cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
Where are you located?
I am tattooing out of Streamwood Tattoo in Streamwood Illinois.
1034 E Schaumburg Rd, Streamwood, IL 60107
I also travel throughout the Midwest and you can likely find me at one of the many conventions run by Tattoofest.com
Do I need a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required when booking an appointment with me. The deposit holds your spot in my calendar and goes towards the total cost of your tattoo.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let me know at least 72 hours in advance and we can find another day that would work best. If you don’t, you will forfeit your deposit and will need to leave another deposit to rebook.
Cancellations will automatically forfeit your deposit.
Can I swim/sunbath/outdoor activities?
Once you get your new tattoo you would need to avoid the following activities 2-4 weeks
Swimming
Sunbathing
Hot tubbing
Tanning
Outdoor frivolity
Soaking of any kind
Please baby your new art piece!
Please refer to the aftercare instructions.
Can I see the artwork before my appointment?
One of my personal policies is that I do not send out artwork prior to the appointment. I give myself enough time on the day of the appointment for any minor adjustments or tweaks.
Large scale revisions or different tattoo idea may need to be rescheduled.
Can I use numbing cream?
It is never my recommendation to use a numbing agent prior to your tattoo appointment. There has been plenty of negative reactions to numbing creams, including but not limited to
Lidocaine poisoning
Skin burning
Rashes
Ink Fading
If you come to your appointment having used a numbing agent, we most likely would have to reschedule your appointment.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Preparation for your tattoo appointment is pretty easy! Here are some key things to do
Get plenty of rest the night before
Stay hydrated!
Eat a solid meal at least 1 hour prior
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing with easy access to the area being tattooed.
Bring snacks
Bring something to occupy your mind (book, headphones, mobile game, etc)
You may bring one friend
Please, no alcohol on the day before or day of your tattoo.
